Despite what the trolls on our Facebook page think, Nina Kraviz is an incredibly talented and versatile DJ. Evidence of that can be found in this recently recorded mix from Spain’s Aquasella Festival. The recording, which spans about two hours, is a sonic journey that starts with techno and leaps through a wormhole toward extremely aggressive contemporary gabber. Could this pave the way for more incorporation of gabber and hardcore into festival techno sets? We can only hope.
In other words, it’s exactly the kind of tasteful set that we’ve come to expect from the Russian selector. Listen to it above, and then watch this classic video with her from our EB.TV archive.
