Photos From Bang & Olufsen's Museum Show 91 Years Of Music Tech
The story of Bang & Olufsen is also the story of modern technological innovation.
Electronic manufacturing company Bang & Olufsen has long been hailed for its elegant design. In the 1970s the Museum of Modern Art in New York City even featured an exhibition on the company’s work, and in 2003 it opened an entire museum in Denmark dedicated to its historic line of products. The Bang & Olufsen Museum opened in 2003 just to the side of the main museum in Struer, Denmark, where the company was founded. This part of the building contains originals from B&O’s long line of electronics that tells the history of development in home technologies over the past century, from clunky old radios to televisions on wheels to tape players, CD players and hi-fi sound systems.
