The performance was captured as part of London collective SIREN's recent residency at Somerset House studios.
object blue was one of 2018’s musical revelations here at Telekom Electronic Beats HQ. Her live performances and and memorable DJ sets show a unique approach to club music, putting her in a category all her own. Ripping up standard templates of rhythm and genre, object blue produces angular and experimentally-tinged dance music that dazzles with its intricacy and versatility.
These qualities were on full display in a recent set the musician gave as part of a concert series by SIREN. The feminist collective‘s recent residency at Somerset House Studios brought six UK-based womxn and non-binary artists together for a series of 10-15 minute performances.
Intended to showcase the uniqueness of their respective live experiences, object blue’s set in particular stands out for its absorbing interlacing of vocals and digital sound design.
